Tourist Growth Set to Continue with New Target Markets

The nine-year growth in foreign visits to Morocco is set to continue in 2010, with January-July 2010 figures increasing 10.4% over the same period in 2009 (from 5.07 million to 5.60 million visits) according to the Tourism Ministry. These statistics demonstrate the government's ability to execute a long-term policy plan, as Morocco was the only North African country able to show strong growth in the tourism sector amid the economic crisis.
