Our forecasts of 5.5% consumer price inflation by end-2011 in Jordan, up from an estimated 5.1% in 2010, reflect the soaring global food prices. Nevertheless, we highlight further upside risks to our forecast, with last available inflation data reading 6.1% y-o-y in October 2010, the highest level that has not been recorded since the beginning of 2009.
