Assessing The Impact Of Recent Unrest

After the toppling of Tunisia's government and President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, the country's political risk profile is considerably more uncertain. As such, we have downgraded our short-term political risk rating for Tunisia to 43.3, the lowest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, while also downgrading the short-term political risk ratings of all other North African countries due to the risk that civil unrest may spill over into neighbouring countries.
