Ethiopia's economy has been growing steadily since 2003, aided by favourable weather conditions and a recovery in the agricultural sector. This positive performance is set to continue; GDP is expected to expand by 8.5% in 2008. Thereafter, we see the growth rate remaining strong, although slowing gradually, to reach 6.7% by 2012.
