BMI View: Comments made in April by Angola's industry minister corroborate two of BMI's key views on the Angolan economy: firstly, that diversification away from the oil sector is needed for macroeconomic resilience and secondly, that Chinese-funded investment in infrastructure is playing a key role in Angola's impressive growth trajectory.
