BMI View: Sudan continues to run a large current account deficit, although we have revised down our forecast for the shortfall in 2008, on the back of our latest oil price forecasts. Indeed, with petroleum exports accounting for close to 90% of the country's total exports, we now predict total exports of US$10.06bn in 2008, based on our forecast for Brent Crude oil to average US$100.00/bbl over the year.
