The Moroccan bureau chief of Doha-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, Hassan Rachidi, has been charged with publishing false information, after reporting that protestors had been killed by police during a recent demonstration at Sidi Ifni, in southwest Morocco. Security officials said that no demonstrators had died in the incident, although human rights activists alleged that up to eight people had been killed.
