We are forecasting a slight increase in Algerian oil production to 2.15mn barrels a day (b/d) in 2008, from an estimated 2.06mn b/d in 2007. Combined with record oil prices, that should contribute to export revenues of US$96.45bn, a 40.6% increase on 2007. However, export earnings are forecast to decline in 2009 as oil prices ease from current elevated levels.
