The Namibian press regularly carries stories of the actions of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in arresting suspected perpetrators and investing cases of corruption. While recognising that corruption remains a problem in the country, rather than seeing the frequency of such reports as a concern, we find the proactive approach and visible activities of the ACC encouraging. Namibia already has one of the highest scores in Africa in Transparency International 's 2007 Corruption Perceptions Index. Such an aggressive approach to reducing graft is likely to see its rating improve.
